How Much Does Pool Leak Detection Cost in the Texas Hill Country?

Residential pool leak detection with Blue Olive Pools starts at $495. Here's what's included, what can raise the price, and how HOA and commercial jobs are quoted.

Pool leak detection cost in the Texas Hill Country

Short answer: Residential pool leak detection with Blue Olive Pools starts at $495 for a base visit. If your plumbing lines need pressure or vacuum testing, that's advanced leak detection and costs more. HOA, commercial, municipal, and subdivision systems are quoted after a quick conversation.

What the $495 base visit includes

  • Electronic listening for leaks in the pool shell and buried plumbing, using LeakTronics equipment
  • Dye testing at fittings, lights, and skimmers
  • Pipe camera inspection with an underground locator when needed
  • A clear explanation of what we found and what it will cost to fix

What can raise the price

  • Advanced leak detection. If the leak is in the plumbing lines, we may need to pressure or vacuum test each line with test plugs. That takes more time and equipment, and it's priced above the base visit. We often won't know until we're testing on site.
  • Distance. A travel fee may apply depending on how far the property is from our shop in Rio Frio.
  • Larger systems. HOA, commercial, municipal, and subdivision pools have more plumbing and more equipment, so we quote them individually.

Repairs are separate from leak detection. Once we find the leak, we give you a price for the fix before any repair starts.

Why professional leak detection is usually worth it

Guessing at a leak often means digging in the wrong spot or replacing parts that weren't the problem. Finding the exact source first keeps digging and repair costs down. And a slow leak left alone keeps costing you in water, chemicals, and possible damage under the deck.

What we don't do

We don't perform leak detection or leak repair on fiberglass pools. We're glad to repair pumps, filters, heaters, and other equipment on fiberglass pools.

Who does the work

Our leak detection is led by co-owner Tommy Adams, who has over 25 years of residential and commercial construction experience. He is LeakTronics certified, a Certified Pool Operator (CPO), and holds Texas TDLR Residential Appliance Installer License #785310.
